No, I wasn’t kidding. I went to the market yesterday and found atleast one brand of milk that was $3 a gallon vs. $6, New York steaks for $3.47/lb vs. $8+, strawberries $1/lb vs. $3/lb, bananas $.50/lb. and stock was much fresher than it was 2 weeks ago.
I live in Southern California.

Does the US Dollar generally rise against other currency’s when the stock market tanks? I noticed that the US Dollar rose against the Euro today at the same time the stock market indexes dropped. Does this mean that investors are keeping their money in cash or buying USD when they are pulling out of stocks? I’m quite new to all this and trying to learn. it is found that in each and every country in the world has its own currencies which have different rates.for example one US Dollar equals to 45 indian rupees approximately.how can one determine that? if one country ,claiming to be sovereign ,plans to revaluate its own currency and wants to make it equal with that of the US, is that possible? if one renegade state decides not to honour intrnational currency obligations, what is going to happen?
